Adopt Eastern Security Network, Organizations Write Imo House Of Assembly

The Imo State House of Assembly has been urged to make the “Eastern Security Network” the legal name for the proposed security outfit for the southeast geopolitical zone.

This advice is jointly coming from Greenwood Dialogue Foundation, GDF, and Patriotic Leadership Initiative Nigeria, PLAIN.

In a letter that was addressed to the Imo State House of Assembly and signed by Mazi Nnamdi Dickson Iroegbu, the Executive Director, on behalf of the two organisations, posited that though Governors and other stakeholders from the zone agreed to adopt “Ebube-agu Security Network” as the name of the zonal security outfit, Imo State, being the heartland of the zone, should adopt Eastern Security Network as the legal name for the state’s security outfit, while Ebube-agua can be the motor.

Conclusively, the organisations emphasized the need for a secured and prosperous Igboland, saying that Igbo land will remain the land of the brave and free.
