A former governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, on Sunday took a minister-designate, Lekan Adegbite, to the Eid prayer ground at Oke Lantoro, Abeokuta, for Eid-el-Kabir prayers.
Amosun had in 2018 promised that he would bring his successor in the state in 2019 to the Eid prayer ground.
But Amosun’s failure to install his preferred governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, Adekunle Akinlade, made it impossible for him to take Akinlade to the prayer ground as promised.
Akinlade lost the governorship race to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dapo Abiodun.
Amosun, who went with Adegbite, refused to address the congregation after the prayers as he hurriedly left the ground.
