The immediate past speaker of kogi state house of assembly and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon. Momoh Jimoh Lawal has felicitated with his constituents and the entire Muslim ummah on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-ul Adha urging the Muslim ummah to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SWA) which typifies sacrifice, love, charity, hope and selflessness.
The former lawmaker representing the good people of Okene II constituency in the state house of assembly congratulated Muslims across the globe for the rare privilege of witnessing yet another Eid-el Kabir celebration noting that Allah (SWT) has been merciful and beneficial to mankind despite our shortcomings.
While addressing party stalwarts and teaming supporters in his okene country home, the political icon stressed the need to submit totally to Allah (SWT) in this perilous times and hope for better days ahead.
“This Eid-el Kabir celebration, like every other one in the past, is very special. We must not forget that these are very troubling times and we must follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SWS), and continue to seek God’s face in all our affairs.
“We are very hopeful as a people that God will not forsake us as a Nation, so, we must continue to work towards our own success story”.
Rt. Hon Momoh Jimoh Lawal urged the Muslim ummah to pray for divine peace and live at peace with each other as there is no substitute for peace. He concluded by stressing the need for love and sacrifice which are the catalysts for a peaceful coexistence.
