IPOB militiamen kill two soldiers in Enugu – Army

Some Operatives of the Eastern Security Network have killed two soldiers in Enugu.

According to the Director, Army Public relations, Brigadier Onyema Nwachukwu, the soldiers were killed on Tuesday in Adani area of Uzo-Uwani LGA of the state while trying to repel an attack from the gunmen.

ESN is the militia arm of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. Nwachukwu also disclosed that “The troops are currently on the trail of the criminals.”

He urged the general public to provide useful information on the fleeing gunmen to the force.

“We assure the general public of our commitment to provide adequate security in the general area in collaboration with other security agencies. We also urge members of the public to complement the effort of the security agencies by remaining law abiding and provide useful information on the fleeing gunmen,”.
