No plan by Kwankwaso to dump party for APC – Kano state PDP Chairman

The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in Kano state, Hon Shehu Sagagi, has denied media report of purported plan by a former Governor of the state, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to abandon the party for the All Progressive Congress.

Mr Muhammad Ahmad, a media aide of the Kano PDP boss, made this known through a press statement he signed on the Chairman’s behalf on Thursday morning.

The text of the statement reads;

“The purported rumor going round and speculations that Sen. Kwankwaso is considering dumping his Party PDP for the ruling party APC is not true.

Reports confirmed that Kwankwaso is still a bonifide member of PDP and its leader in KANO State.

Of course, due to his importance in Nigerian politics and mass followers across the country, all major political parties want to have Kwankwaso in their fold especially now that 2023 general election is approaching. Mischief makers are the ones spreading the rumors in their efforts to confuse Kwankwasiyya supporters.

A source close to Sen. Kwankwaso debunked the circulated rumor and confirmed that his boss is still in PDP, while urging their teeming supporters to ignore any attempt by opposition who are the master mind of these rumors.
