According to him, the victim was allegedly pulled out of a tricycle and stabbed to death.

He described the incident as unfortunate and uncalled for.

He said, “The student boarded a tricycle from the permanent site of the university to the main campus and suddenly on the road, he was pulled out and stabbed to death.

“Our tears for justice have generated nothing else than more pains, hurts, fears, sorrows and endless lamentations.

“As a matter of urgency, the state government should appeal to the federal government to facilitate the building of perimeter fencing of our institution. There should be more accommodation (hostels) for students. This will go a long way in reducing the number of students who stay off-campus.”
