Officers of the Nigeria Customs Service are currently battling with hoodlums attempting to break into a warehouse belonging to the customs in the Gwagwalada area of Abuja.
An eyewitness confirmed that heavily armed officers were currently surrounding the Nigeria Customs Staff Training and Doctrine Command, Gwagwalada, to prevent the hoodlums from gaining access to the facility.
The eyewitness said the officers had been battling with the hoodlums for hours and have prevented vehicular movements around the facility.
The hoodlums were said to have been tipped-off about motorcycles, grinding machine and other palliatives being warehoused at the facility.
Headline News365 further gathered that some customs officers had started entering houses round the facility in search of stolen items, while also arresting suspects from their houses.
